I’ve had this Ralph Lauren Black Label Corduroy shirt for a few years and never got around to wearing it. With the unseasonably mild weather we’ve been getting all winter in Atlanta, it has finally dropped to make it cold enough to rock it. Heavier weights, textures and vibes abound.

Never been a huge fan of the color blue, but have grown to respect the versatility of the color with my wardrobe. Kept the pairing simple with a light distressed denim. Went with the congnac boot to complement the blue at Brunch.

For the outerwear, went with a peacoat, as it played off the prep’ vibe. Threw on the plaid scarf to keep my color story all-the-way G’.

This season, I’ve been switching it up a lot, blending trend with tradition. This look definitely leans a little more towards the traditional end. At times I feel like the modern looks are too predictable and borderline tacky.

I’ll be delving into my trend v. tradition comparison in the next couple posts… By the way, it’s my birthday week and I’m poppin’ 31 bottles to celebrate 31 years of life (more details to follow). These shots were just a preview…
