Now, for my Part 3 in The Beach, The Dinner and The Brunch series… “The Brunch.”

In 2015 the Sunday Bottle Service Brunch became a phenomenon. I felt like when I transitioned from the STK Dinner Party people were looking to see what was next… In 2013 when we started, there were no Dinner Parties Atlanta that really did it right, then in less than a 2 year span we generated over 2 million in revenue for the establishment, countless memories, and people are still asking me about it to this day. I tend to tell them the same thing, “Doing the ‘expected’ is not as exciting.” At Mills Branding, I produce events for brands, clients and for the lifestyle of it. The shit can never get stale. You have to consistently reinvent and redefine experiences to keep them exciting. And most importantly, you can NOT play yourself out.

So, I say all that to say this: I felt like the Bottle Service Brunch was a natural progression. The concept is still a high vibe, musical dining experience, that marries great food with people, panache and pleasure. The biggest change, besides the venue, is that it’s now done in the day space. If you were to execute a Dinner Party during the day what would you call it?!… “A brunch.” And just like when we started the dinner party at STK, there were no really good brunch party experiences in Atlanta like you would get at a Bagatelle or a Lavo. Now look!

This blog helps me to chronicle the lifestyle inspiration behind the brunch (as well as other happenings). I use my personal style as a guide to show people how to attend and enjoy the event themselves. As much as I use myself as an honest example for the message, my goal is not self-serving, it’s to encourage others to confidently create their own stylistic expression.

While some things will always be superficial, just know that there’s always soul and substance behind it. More than anything, I hope that ‘soulful part’ comes across genuinely in 2016.
